The 840 -horsepower muscle monster is so amped-up to tear away from the starting line that the car literally face-lift a Guinness-certified off the soil for the first 2.92 feet, making it the first creation vehicle in “the worlds” to pop a wheelie at launch.
Dodge claims the Demon, actually a souped-up, tricked-out Challenger, is indeed the fastest vehicle in “the worlds”, boasting 0 to 60 mph acceleration race in 2.3 seconds. Tesla love might be quick to point out that the Model S has hit an eye-popping 2. 28 seconds but Dodge is excluding “hybrids” from the competition.
The Demon edges the Model S and all other up-and-comers in the scoot from 0 to 100 mph though( 5.1 seconds ), and its quarter-mile season of 9.65 seconds has been certified by the National Hotrod Association( NHRA) as the most wonderful in the world.
The speed’s established possible by the Demon’s Supercharged 6.2 L HEMI SRT V8 machine, which shoots out 840 horsepower and 770 pound-feet of torque another creation vehicle record.
